IDEAL Description

The IDEAL Futures Teacher Academy will develop a range of professional development (PD) activities and a collaborative digital hub to provide opportunities for transformative dialogue to support educators to develop as future digital educational leaders. It will support pre-service, in-service teachers and educational leaders to consider the challenges facing education in the future and develop a vision based on their individual beliefs and the needs of their school communities, through collaboration with the wider education and technology sector. They will be supported to simultaneously solve specific challenges in the area of digital educational leadership and acquire the necessary skills and expertise through formal online PD.

WP1

Title

Project management and co-ordination

Objectives

  • Support high quality collaboration between ITE Universities, Teacher PD providers, Teacher employment organisations, Policy Makers and Educational Technology providers
  • Ensure project is delivered on time and within budget through continuous monitoring
  • Ensure the project team meet the project objectives and stakeholder needs
  • Monitor and provide means of mitigating against project risks
  • Ensure effective communication, collaboration and decision making within the partnership that is in line with all stakeholder needs

Dr. Emma O Brien is the Director of Taught postgraduate Programmes in MIC. She has worked in the area of digital education since 2000 and has lead and collaborated on several national and international projects in the area.

Mª Ángeles Gutiérrez García is Bachelor’s degree in psychology, specializing in Theoretical Experimental Psychology and Industrial Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid (1989) and PhD in Education from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2008).

Mariano Sanz Prieto

Mariano Sanz Prieto is a Telecommunications Engineer and has significant experience working on educational technology. He has worked in several international and national projects in these areas since 1989 and is an expert in eLearning and several web 2.0 tools.

I am full professor at the University of Rennes 2 in Brittany, Co-Director of the largest research network on the uses of technologies, the GIS M@rsouin and co-head of digital research at the CREAD laboratory.
